Bears cut Packers' lead to 6-3
Emmett Prosser
On 2nd and 8 from the Packers' 36, a screen pass to Monangai turns into a 34-yard gain after Monangai gets past Xavier McKinney. However, a 2-yard loss on a Swift carry and an incompletion set up a 3rd and 12, and a short pass gets only four yards. Despite a heavy wind, the Bears get on the board after Cairo Santos kicks a 46-yard field goal with 12:12 left in the third quarter.

Love ruled out for the game
Emmett Prosser
Jordan Love has been ruled out of today's game after undergoing concussion protocol. Though the Packers only have six points at halftime, they do have 178 total yards of balanced offense (95 rushing, 83 passing). Quarterback Malik Willis has completed 1 of 3 passes since entering the game.

Packers force another punt, lead 6-0 at halftime with Willis at QB
Emmett Prosser
The Bears start from the 35 and Williams hits Loveland for 15 yards and a first down. After an incompletion, Williams connects with Zaccheus but only for six yards, and another incompletion sets up 4th and 4 from the Green Bay 45. The Bears take a delay of game and punt back to the Packers with 45 seconds left. Doubs catches a 42-yard kick, and the Packers start from the 8-yard line with 45 seconds left. Willis takes a knee, and the Packers go into halftime leading the Bears, 6-0.

Packers settle for field goal again after driving over 90 yards, lead 6-0
Emmett Prosser
Wilson gets a pair of carries after Willis comes into the game and picks up nine yards, but Jacobs is stuffed for no gain on third down. The Packers let the play clock wind down and call time out on 4th and 1. Willis fakes the handoff on a zone read and keeps the ball, running outside for seven yards and a first down. Willis is rushed from the pocket on 1st down and he escapes for 7 yards. He then hands off to Wilson for six yards and a first down at the Bears' 33. Chris Brooks spells Wilson and picks up four yards. On 2nd and 6 from the 29, Willis hits Dontayvion Wicks on a short out route for six yards and another first down, and Wilson gets four more yards on a first down carry. Wilson goes outside and beats defenders on a stretch play to the corner for 14 yards and a first down at the five-yard line. A fade to Doubs is knocked away. Jacobs gets inside the 5 on second down, but runs into a wall. On 3rd and goal from the 4, Willis throws incomplete and wide of Watson, and the Packers settle for another short field goal. Green Bay leads, 6-0 with 1:41 to play in the half.

Love leaves game after helmet-to-helmet hit
Emmett Prosser
After a 5-yard run by Wilson and a 7-yard catch by Watson, Love steps right into pressure on first down and is leveled by Austin Booker after Booker leads with his head. He's called for roughing the passer, but Love is down. He gets up and jogs off the field, and Malik Willis comes into the game.

Packers force punt, but will start with poor field position
Emmett Prosser
The Bears start from the Packers 37 after a 21-yard return. The Bears begin with a run to Monangai for six yards. Monangai stays busy with a 3-yard grab and another seven-yard run on 3rd and 1. Williams has to throw the ball away after being rushed, but defensive holding on Carrington Valentine gives the Bears another first down at the 42. A blitz on Williams nearly causes an interception, but the ball is thrown a little high and goes through Nixon's hands. After a two-yard run, the Bears have a 3rd and 8, and a false start backs them up five yards. On 3rd and 13, the Packers get great pressure from Rashan Gary, and Williams has to throw the ball away. The Bears' punt is angled perfectly to the corner at the five, and the Packers start at the 2-yard line with 9:41 left in the quarter.

Packers settle for field goal inside 10-yard line, lead Bears 3-0
Emmett Prosser
On 3rd and 6 at the 28, Love can't find a receiver, but he's able to elude a tackle and run for a first down. He then hits Doubs on another out route for 13 yards and a first down at the Packers 46. The Packers run Jacobs twice for a total of 11 yards and another first down at the Bears 43. On 2nd and 10, Love hits Doubs on a quick slant in stride, and the throw goes for 20 yards and another first down at the Bears' 23 ending the first quarter. A quick screen to Jacobs picks up eight more yards on first down. Jacobs gets the first down on an outside cutback run for four yards at the 9. They pick up four more on a first down carry, but a screen to Emanuel Wilson goes off his hands, and it's a lateral. The ball goes out of bounds, and the Packers lose three yards. On 3rd and goal, a throw to Watson with a linebacker on him reverses course in the wind and is incomplete. This time, LaFleur opts for the field goal, and Brandon McManus' 26-yard kick is good. The Packers lead 3-0 with 12:45 left in the quarter.

Trickery turns into disaster for Bears on fourth down
Emmett Prosser
Bears running back D'Andre Swift was listed as questionable, but he starts and picks up seven yards on his first carry. The Bears then run the rookie back Kyle Monangai for nine yards. Caleb Williams then throws a 15-yard strike on first down to rookie receiver Jahdae Walker, and Bears receiver D.J. More is injured on the play after being hit by Keisean Nixon. Williams gets outside the pocket again and hits Olamide Zaccheaus for 27 yards, who are playing at a fairly quick tempo. A sweep to Moore, who is back in the game, picks up 12 yards to give the Bears a first down inside the 20 at the 13. Swift then carries twice for six total yards, setting up 3rd and 4 from the 9. Swift gets the carry again and is stopped just short of the line to gain, setting up 4th and less than a yard. The Bears also go for disaster, and Chicago strikes when a direct snap to Monangai goes over his head, and he has to sprint to dive on the ball. The Packers take over on downs at the Bears 22 after the Bears get inside the five-yard line. Both teams miss golden scoring opportunities on opening drives.

Christopher Kuhagen
The Green Bay Packers lead the all-time series, 109-96-6. The first game between the two teams was played in 1921.
The Bears had the series lead for the longest time, but the Packers have dominated the series since the 2010s to gain the upper hand.
The Packers have won 27 of the last 31 matchups in the series. They won 11 straight from 2019-2024 before the Bears won the 2024 regular season finale on Jan. 5, 2025.

Packers get inside 10-yard line, but fail on 4th and 1
Emmett Prosser
Thanks to an unnecessary roughness penalty, the Packers start from their own 47 after returning the ball to the 32.
On 2nd and 8, the Packers pick up seven on Jordan Love's short throw to Luke Musgrave. A 3rd and 1 throw is incomplete, but another costly roughing penalty, this time a late hit on Love, moves the ball to the Bears' 29.
On 2nd and 9, Love's pass is batted down, bringing up 3rd and long from the Bears' 28. Love hits Romeo Doubs on a perfect out route for 12 yards and a first down at the 16.
After a jet sweep to Matthew Golden goes wide for no gain, a short yardage pickup by Josh Jacobs sets up 3rd and 7 from the 13.
Doubs catches a short hitch route, and the Bears stop him a yard short of the marker.
The Packers go on fourth down, and timeout is called by the Packers with 9:51 left in the quarter. Love tries another out route to the corner for Christian Watson in tight man coverage, and the ball falls incomplete. The Bears will take over at their own 7-yard line, but the Packers again get nothing in the red zone after coach Matt LaFleur opts to not kick the field goal on the road.

Jacobs, Watson will play vs Bears, but Tom and Williams are inactive
Emmett Prosser
Running back Josh Jacobs is active despite being listed with a knee injury he's played through in the past several weeks. Jacobs reaggravated the bone bruise in his left knee early last week at the Denver Broncos but returned to finish with 73 yards on 12 carries, including the longest run of his tenure on a 40-yard touchdown. He also added a 14-yard touchdown catch after reaggravating his knee, only the second touchdown grab of his career.
Receiver Christian Watson will be joining Jacobs on the field for the Packers offense a week after injuring his chest and shoulder against the Broncos. Watson was listed as questionable after leaving that game following a Pat Surtain II interception on Jordan Love's deep shot down the middle. Surtain fell on Watson, whose left arm slammed into the field, but the Packers receiver indicated this week he'd be ready to play.
However, offensive lineman Zach Tom and safety Evan Williams are inactive.
